Approval of Minutes
September Minutes: Barb Orbik moved, with Ed Hoffman giving the second, that the Board unanimously accepts the minutes of September 9, 2008. Minutes approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Barb Orbik presented the Treasurer’s Report. Barb noted that the report reflects the third-quarter payment from the City and the $1000 membership fee from United Way. Ed Hoffman moved, with Waketha Downs giving the second, and the Treasurer’s Report was approved.

Director’s Report
John Dalton reported that a few more auction items have come it recently. Last week, there were only 20 items donated. We continue to accept items.
John reported that Comcast, RP&L and WCTV met in regards to the RP&L weather channel becoming part of the programming on WCTV Channel 11. Comcast recently shut off the weather radar, which RP&L was sponsoring, but indicated that they would like to help facilitate WCTV airing the weather radar. John reported Comcast offered lines and, possibly, additional equipment. Comcast also told John they would like to get WCTV dedicated fiber for our forward signal.

John is still working to get capital equipment money from Comcast, and is waiting for more information from the legal firm that agreed to look into the matter. John reported that public access centers are still watching for the outcome of the Comcast case in Michigan.
We are still working on the Model T video and the Starr-Gennett Walk of Fame video. WCTV recently did production work for the United Way, Junior Achievement, and broadcast two live volleyball matches for IU East. New projects will include a commemorative DVD for the Reid Hospital move. The live coverage of the Candidates Forum and Election Returns are coming up.
We recently received a $1500 grand from the Wayne County Foundation for the Wayne County U TV show.

Robin Henry has agreed to take the Treasurer spot vacated by Barb Orbik. Ed Hoffman moved, with Waketha Downs giving the second, and the motion carried.
