Present: Waketha Downs, Daryl Greene, Ed Hoffman, Mark Linderman, Eric Marsh, Barb Orbik, Sharon Palmer, Jeff Plasterer, Billy Porch, Larry Price, Phil Quinn, and Valerie Shaffer.
Staff: John Dalton, John Schuerman and Diane Lucas.

Approval of Minutes
June Minutes: Jeff Plasterer moved, with Ed Hoffman giving the second, that the Board unanimously accepts the minutes of July 8, 2008. Minutes approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Barb Orbik presented the Treasurer’s Report. Barb noted that the report reflects $44,257 received from the City of Richmond, our quarterly stipend. There are some expenses shown for a new hard drive, cables and a project management software package, reflecting an increased production load. Income and expenses are on target with 50 percent of the year completed. Ed Hoffman moved, with Waketha Downs giving the second, and the Treasurer’s Report was approved.

Director’s Report
John Dalton reported that we have had a very busy schedule lately with the Model T week, including having a Model T show every night and making a commemorative DVD for sale. We did the SOS Jamboree last Friday and Band Day at the State Fair. Future projects include the JA Hall of Fame, the United Way campaign video, the Starr Gennett Walk of Fame, the Reid Hospital move and a Civic Theatre production of Frankenstein.
On August 1st, WCTV hosted its annual picnic with about 45 people attending, out largest crowd yet. We also hosted a Free PSA Day with about a half-dozen participating. In the lottery drawing for Channel 21, there are only three prime time slots left. There were six attending our free all-day workshop on Saturday. WCTV will again offer more comprehensive classes through Continuing Education.
The City of Indianapolis has indicated that they will not pursue filings with the IURC in regards to ongoing Telecom Law issues.
The Auction mailings will go out soon. John has also been working on some grants.

Old Business
Mark reported that Stephanie Strait’s Board seat will remain unfilled until the end of her term, April 14th. The Board will consist of fourteen members until that time. However, a search is on to move an existing board member to the vice president’s position on the Executive Committee.

New Business
Phil Quinn spoke about the potential of RHS basketball games on WCTV under the new athletic director.

Good of the Order
Mark Linderman commended WCTV on its coverage of the Model T event.
Larry Price passed out stress trucks and announced the Reid Hospital patient move four weeks from August 12th.
